Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
incidents information reported from July 24th to July 30th, 2008.

○ Other Findings
Unit No.6 and Unit No.7
Inspections for forks of rotor blades on the 14th, 15th and 16th stage of low-pressure
turbine (A) (B) and (C) were completed on July 28th, 2008. The results are as follows.

Unit No.6
As part of safety integrity verification of the reactor pressure vessel, pressure/leakage
test was conducted on July 17, 2008 by increasing the pressure to about 3.5 MPa-half of
that during normal operation. The test showed no abnormality. Leak-rate test of the
containment vessel was conducted from July 25th to July 26th, 2008 to confirm its
leak-tightness. As a result, no abnormality was found.
