Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (March 6th)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and 
nonconformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after 
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.  

1. Inspection/Restoration Status

 ○ Inspection and restoration completed between February 29th to March 6th, 2008.
    (Completed on the following date) 

 • Unit No.1 Pressure suppression chamber inspection: 
     March 1st  
 • Unit No.1 Fuel and control rod inspection (spent fuel pool rack, etc.): 
     February 29th 
 • Unit No.1 Main generator inspection (withdrawal of rotor): 
     March 5th 
 • Unit No.5 Jet pump inspection (No.1 disassembly): 
     February 28th*
 • Unit No.5 House transformer (5B) internal inspection: 
     March 3rd 
 • Unit No.6 Pressure suppression chamber inspection: 
     March 6th

   of fire protection tank, etc. (replacement of onsite panel of foam fire 
   extinguisher):
