the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.

2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
incidents information reported from January 31st to February 6th, 2008.

○ Other Findings
Unit No.2:
During a visual inspection of fuels in spent fuel pool using fiberscopes,
5 pieces of metallic material (with a maximum length of about 10mm and
a diameter of about 0.2mm) were found in the spacer of one of the fuel
bundles by January 15th, 2008.
As a result of the inspection of fuels, no abnormally was found.
(The inspection of the fuel assembly was completed on February 1st, 2008.)
Unit No.7:
During a visual inspection of fuels in spent fuel pool using fiberscopes,
a piece of metallic material (in spirals, with a maximum length of about
40mm and a diameter of about 0.2mm) were found in the spacer of one of
the fuel bundles on February 6th, 2008.
