the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.

2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
incidents information reported from January 10th to January 16th, 2008.

○ Other Findings
Unit 2:
During a visual inspection of fuels in spent fuel pool using fiber scopes,
5 pieces of metallic material (with a maximum length of about 10 mm and a
diameter of about 0.2 mm) were found in the spacer of one of the fuel bundles
by January 15, 2008. Retrieving the objects will be considered.
The inspection of fuels is still underway. No abnormally has been found since
then (as of Jan. 17 at 12PM).
