As for the unit 6, in order to conduct in-core inspections, we have been
removing fuel assemblies from the reactor core to the spent fuel pool,
which was scheduled from Nov.16th to Nov.25th. We found that two control
rods could not be pulled out, on Nov.23rd and Nov.25th.
There is no safety hazard, because all fuel assemblies adjacent to the control
rods had been pulled out and supported stably by double blade guides.
We will pull out the control rods in question after removing all fuel
assemblies and conduct the inspections of these events to find the causes.
*Note
A similar event happened at the unit 7 and we suppose that it was a transmit
event caused by increase of friction resistance in the control rod drive mechanism.
