2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
   Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake

   Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
   and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
   Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
   incidents information reported from October 25th to October 31st, 2007.

 ○ Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
<Reports from Oct. 25 to Oct. 31, 2007>
○ Other Findings • Unit No.7: Commenced drainage of the reactor well on October 26th and completed on October 27th. As a result, water inflow to the leak detection piping of the reactor well liner has ceased almost completely on October 28th. Since the amount of leakage from the wall at the 2nd floor of the reactor building has decreased as the water level of the reactor well decreased, leakage is presumed to be originating from the reactor well. Therefore, we will identify the leak spot by inspecting the reactor well. • Unit No.7: Completed the withdrawal of the one control rod that could not be initially withdrawn on October 24th (announced on October 25th). Disassembly and inspection of the control rod drive will be conducted to determine the cause. Inspection of the reactor internals (control rods, control rod guides, fuel supports) will be conducted after completing the inspection of the reactor well liner.
