We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works (from
September 9th to October 6th, 2007) and non-conformance at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa
Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.
1. Inspection/Restoration Status
○Inspection and restoration completed between September 7th to 13th, 2007
Unit No.1 Refueling floor service tools inspection (working dolly): To be
completed on September 13th.
○Inspection to be commenced between September 14th to 20th, 2007.
Unit No.1 In-core inspection (Phase2)
Unit No.2, 4, 5 Visual inspection for main exhaust ducts (in-trench duct)
Unit No.3 Blow panel of reactor building restoration preparation
Unit No.5 Refueling machine inspection
Unit No.6 Refueling floor service tools inspection (stud tensioners, etc.)
Unit No.6 Main transformer oil extraction and internal inspection
Unit No.6 House transformer (A) oil extraction and internal inspection
Unit No.7 Main transformer oil extraction and internal inspection
Periodic surveillance tests (for emergency diesel generators)
2. Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed
after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the
Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki
Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides
this announcement containing incidents information reported from September 6th
to 12th, 2007 and the occurrence status of nonconformances (that have been
deliberated) reported from August 30th to September 5th, 2007.
