The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) has been conducting
investigation of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the
Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake that occurred on July 16, 2007. TEPCO hereby
announces that it submitted today to the Minister of Economy, Trade and
Industry the investigation results on the causes of the earthquake-induced
fire on the unit3 House Transformer 3B.
Please refer to the Appendix for a summary report.
TEPCO will continue our efforts in investigating the effects of the earthquake
to the power station and, when necessary, report the results to the public.
We will also continue investigating possible causes of previously reported
events and will report to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry along
with recurrence prevention measures.
