In accordance with the Written Directives* received from the Nuclear and
Industrial Safety Agency, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on
July 16, 2007, The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc. (TEPCO) has since
studied the observed seismic data collected at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear
Power Station on the day when Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (hereinafter
referred to as "the Earthquake") occurred. We inform herein that we have
prepared the (first) Report on the Analysis of Observed Seismic Data collected
at the nuclear power station when the earthquake occurred, and submitted it
today to the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, the Ministry of Economy
Trade and Industry.

We will continue to collect and compile available records on aftershock
data, and analyze the observed seismic data and verify seismic safety of
important facilities by using the collected and compiled records of observed
seismic data.
