TEPCO: Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station /Status of reactor opening and in-core inspections

As for the Unit 3, the in-core inspections (Phase 3) has been finished today.
Hereby, all of the reactor opening and in-core inspections, which started
on Aug. 21st, 2007, have been completed.
In the inspections, no abnormality such as damage, deformation and dropout
which has an impact on the equipments in reactors has been found.* We will verify the soundness of in-core structures on the basis of the
inspection /evaluation plans made by each reactor including the results
of in-core inspections.

* Major nonconformances found in the incore-inspections
We will repair the deformations of the legs for temporary storage for
positioning the steam separator and the misalignment of the wedge of
  No.1 jet pump.
