September 22, 2012
Tokyo Electric Power Company

This is the follow-up report on the incident that a steel beam slipped and fell into the spent fuel pool of Unit 3, Fukushima Daiichi NPP.

The results of the radioactive concentration analysis of the spent fuel pool water are as follows.
 ·Cesium 134: 2.2X10(3)Bq/cm3
 ·Cesium 137: 3.6X10(3)Bq/cm3
 ·Iodine 131: below detection limit (1.4X10(1)Bq/cm3).

There is no significant change from the previous results shown below.

The radioactive concentration analysis of the spent fuel pool water sampled on Sep 21
 ·Cesium 134: 2.4X10(3)Bq/cm3
 ·Cesium 137: 4.0X10(3)Bq/cm3
 ·Iodine 131: below detection limit (3.4X10(1)Bq/cm3)

We confirmed that there was no significant change to the water level of the spent fuel pool using a remote work camera.

There has been no significant change to the measured figures at the monitoring posts.

We will investigate the inside of the pool using underwater camera when as soon as it is ready.
