Design basis target facility（prevention of major accidents）

Requirements from the New Regulatory Requirements: ●Volcanoes around the power station that could possibly affect the facilities should be selected.
●Safety functions should not be impaired by the impact of volcanic eruptions around the power station.
Actions taken at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station: ●Out of the 81 volcanoes present in the vicinity of the power station, 32 were selected as volcanoes that could affect the facilities
　and their impacts were assessed.
●By assessing the distance between a volcano and the power station and the effect of ash fall, it was confirmed that
　the safety of the power station will not be affected even if the volcano erupts.
●Preparations were made to clean and replace clogged filters for ventilation systems.
