Requirements from the New Regulatory Requirements
●Measures to decrease the pressure and temperature of the Primary Containment Vessel in the event of core damage should be installed.
Actions taken at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station
●To prevent Primary Containment Vessel failure, an alternative circulating cooling system was installed. A filter vent system was installed as a further measure.
